Meet Robert Hatvani
Robert Hatvani is a skilled and passionate piano teacher at Dunkley Music in Meridian, Idaho. With decades of experience as a performer, composer, and educator, he brings a well-rounded and inspiring approach to every piano lesson. His goal is to help students grow in both confidence and musical skill.
A Foundation in Classical Music
Robert began his music education in Ukraine at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Children’s Music Institute. There, he developed a strong foundation in classical piano. He later earned several degrees from Zador University, including Piano Pedagogy, Artist of Ensemble, and Accompanist. These programs taught him not only how to perform, but how to teach and collaborate with other musicians.
Performance Experience and Recognition
While studying at the Franz Liszt Music Academy, Robert performed as a soloist with the Debrecen Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Hungary. He also appeared on Bartok National Radio, sharing his talent with a national audience. These opportunities helped him grow as a performer and gain recognition in Europe’s classical music scene.
Composer and Recording Artist
In 2003, Robert premiered his original composition Overture for Flute and Orchestra with the Boise State Symphony Orchestra. This marked a major milestone in his career as a composer. He went on to release Clear Skies, a solo piano improvisation album available on iTunes. His second album, Healing, is scheduled to release in April and continues his mission to create music that inspires and calms.
Teaching at Dunkley Music
At Dunkley School of Music, Robert Hatvani teaches piano to students of all ages and levels. His students have won local and state competitions and earned spots at prestigious institutions like the Manhattan School of Music. Robert’s teaching blends classical technique with creativity, helping students master their instrument while discovering their unique musical voice.
