KJ Eliot is a guitar teacher at Dunkley School of Music who has played music since childhood and comes from a family of musicians. He began with grade school brass symphonic instruments before discovering his passion for guitar. KJ studied Classical Guitar at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and earned a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University in 1998.
With more than 20 years of teaching experience, KJ Eliot has taught hundreds of students across several states. He is highly skilled in nearly every guitar style—acoustic, electric, rock, blues, country, Spanish rumba, flamenco, fingerstyle, and worship music. Whether students want to play Bach or classic rock, KJ creates lesson plans tailored to each student’s goals.
In addition to teaching, KJ has extensive live performance experience, has toured nationally, recorded in studios, and has a strong background in music theory, chord progressions, and lead playing.
KJ believes in meeting students where they are and helping them grow in both skill and confidence. His diverse experience allows him to teach a variety of guitar styles, making him a versatile choice for students of all ages and interests.
