Frank Mastropaolo is a fantastic drum teacher at the Dunkley School of Music in Meridian, Idaho. He has extensive experience teaching and performing drums and a degree in music focusing on percussion performance. Proudly sponsored by Zildjian, Vic Firth, Remo, and Mike Balter Mallets, Frank has extensive performance experience, including concert, marching, and ensemble percussion and live performances in hand percussion and drum sets with various groups. In addition to providing private lessons, Frank serves as the Executive Director of Armada Corps Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing education in the marching arts.

With over 35 years of teaching experience, Frank dedicates himself as a professional full-time teacher to helping students achieve their musical goals. He creates personalized lesson plans tailored to each student’s unique needs, ensuring everyone ages 5 to 125 can enjoy and succeed in learning music.

He offers instruction in all styles of music, including Rock, Jazz, Latin, Worship, Country, Heavy Metal, and more. His lessons encompass various types of drumming, such as drum sets, concerts, marching, mallet instruments, and hand percussion. Each lesson focuses on essential fundamentals, rhythm theory, and music theory.

Previous drum or percussion experience is not required, and you don’t even need a drum set to get started. Many of his former students have succeeded in music careers, including recording, touring, teaching, and earning college scholarships. These students have excelled as state champions in drum set and snare solo categories, participated in Drum Corps, and won WGI Indoor Percussion championships.

As mentioned earlier, Frank is also the founder, president, and CEO of Armada Corps, IInc. This company began as a summer parade marching drum line. Over the last several years, Armada has grown to include competitive indoor percussion, guard, and winds groups. It has expanded into offering educational groups such as mini, cadet, and junior groups. The group has performed for local sports, corporate events, and grand openings.
