Randy Bauer, B.M.

An Idaho native, Randy is well versed in both classical and jazz trumpet styles and has a reputation of excellence in all areas of music. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance and is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Boise State University. During his time at Boise State, Mr. Bauer has taught private lessons masterclasses in the Treasure Valley to students across all ages and varying levels of experience. As a performer, he has experience as both as a classical trumpeter and as a jazz/chamber musician in local ensembles, appearing with the Boise Philharmonic, the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Meridian Symphony Orchestra, Boise State’s Symphonic and Jazz Orchestras, and in various Boise Music Week productions. Mr. Bauer is committed to maintaining a versatile approach to trumpet performance practice and pedagogy and sharing this approach with his trumpet studio.

When he is not playing trumpet or teaching, Randy enjoys tinkering on cars, hiking and camping in Idaho's beautiful wilderness, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
