Michiko Miller graduated from college in Piano Performance and finished Piano Performance Advanced course with a Voice minor and Teacher Training course in Japan. While she was teaching high school choir, brass band in the public education system in Japan, she was also teaching piano and singing Opera for the Nagasaki Opera Association for 15 years. She moved to the United States in 2001 and later returned to school at BSU, majoring in Piano Performance. She was an experienced Boise State University Choir accompanist, accompanist for Piano concerto and for singers in Opera Idaho. Also she was singing Opera for Opera Idaho as a resident member. She has been teaching piano for over 30 years in Japan and the United States. Michiko Miller is presently teaching piano and singing at the Dunkley school of music, as well as in her studio for all ages and all levels in Boise. She is a church pianist, gospel singer with her own accompaniment, member of Treasure Valley Music Teachers Association, Boise Tuesday Musicale. 

She is aiming for music education  in all areas.
